Windows 10 has been with us for nearly ten months now, which means there are only about two months remaining to get a free upgrade from your older Windows operating system. If you want to switch to Windows 10, now may be the best time to do so as the free upgrade officially expires July 29th.

Consider your options carefully though, I continue to see botched upgrades (Microsoft’s fault, not the user), sometimes the rollback works, sometimes it doesn’t and, of course, if you leave it longer than the 30 day grace period your option for rollback is removed. Best case is you get a shiny new operating system, worst case is you brick your computer and lose everything that was on it. Make sure you have everything backed up and/or written down before you dive in.
